Indiana Furnace Technicians
Stuck without your furnace in the middle of an Indiana winter? You should have called your local contractor and schedule annual preventative maintenance.
By scheduling annual preventative maintenance you are heading-off a number of problems that could cause major headaches down the road. During your maintenance appointment, your contractor will check and make sure your heating system is operating properly and clean the unit to ensure continued performance. Furnace prices are high enough without having to spend money on costly emergency repair calls sooner rather than later. Also, make sure you hire the right contractor to ensure that your installation and repair job are done right the first time.
It is always good practice to go into a furnace installation or repair job with a base of knowledge.
Can't Decide Which Efficiency Level Is Right for Your Indiana Home? Any Efficiency May Be Right for You.
The efficiency rating you choose has implications for several factors of your furnace price and overall system satisfaction. Although investing in a high-efficiency furnace can cost more up front, you can save more down the road. So, if you have the money to spend on a high-efficiency system, it is advisable that you get the most efficient system you can afford. However, if you are buying a furnace on a tight budget, a minimum efficiency unit can still be a significant upgrade from an old furnace. Furnaces today are rated at 80% AFUE to start with. Furnaces from 10 or 20 years ago - approximately how long a furnace lasts - may only be rated at 60 or 70% AFUE. That is a 10 to 20% increase in efficiency by just switching to a minimum efficiency furnace.
