What do you do when the air conditioner is not working?
A hot summer day without air conditioning can quickly turn into a desperate race to stay cool. If you look around the internet and talk to friends, there are some pretty “inventive” ways to keep cool. I mean, have you heard of a “DIY air conditioner?” You know, that contraption with the cooler, the ice, the pipe and the fan?
This article shows an easy way to make your own air conditioner in a snap! So, tell us, do you have any weird methods of keeping cool when you’re waiting for a contractor?
Dealing with a hot house and complaining kids is something that no mother wants to deal with. We have been having some issues with our air conditioning over the past few days and I think that a repair may need to be made. It isn’t distributing air like it used to and it keeps turning off at random times. I will have to give someone a call to come and check it out and get some ice cream in the process. Thanks for the tips!
These are fantastic ideas to keep cool while waiting for the contractor to come. Summers can be really hot, so I can imagine going without a air conditioner wouldn’t be fun for very long. That’s why regular maintenance is always important.
That’s a good idea to take the kids swimming if our AC breaks down. Doing that and going for ice cream would give the kids a chance to have fun and make it a good experience. We should probably have our air conditioner checked more often, so this won’t be as much of a probability, but it’s easy to forget as long as it works. I just hope that they find out what’s wrong with it soon.
